Who We Are

Freedom Church serves our community and Tallahassee with the goal of boldly demonstrating the Love of God. We are a community of faith that cares for one another as we walk in identity and purpose God has given.

Our Mission

We want the world around us to see and understand the hope we have in Jesus.

(Matt 28:19-20, 1 Pet 3:15, Jude 1:22-24)

Our Vision

We encourage each believer to seek to be empowered in ministry. Faith is not passive. (Jas 2:17) Ministry is not reserved for pastors and missionaries. God gifts each willing believer with the tools to build His kingdom and be a blessing to the "Body of Christ." (Eph 4:11-12; 1 Cor 12:27)

Live By The Spirit

Living in the Spirit is relying on the Spirit’s strength for your life of faith and denying the old life of the flesh. Special attention is paid to learning to hear and submit to the Spirit’s guidance, and lastly the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Gal 5:25-26

Grow In The Truth

It is necessary for believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. We stress the importance of growing towards maturity in Christ. This means discipleship is a priority and leads towards a deeper trust in God which, in turn, brings peace and rest.
2 Peter 3:18

Love One Another Boldly

God is Love. (1 John 4:8) We know what real love is because of what Jesus has done for us. (1 John 3:16-21) Love is the expression of true faith! (1 John 4:20) In light of this, we strive to put the needs of others before our own and live at peace with one another going out of our way to demonstrate God's love.

We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians. But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue but in deed and truth. - 1 John 16-18 (NET Bible)

Our Core Values:
  1. Proclaim Boldly – We are a community who strives to proclaim the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our world.
    Matt 28:19-20, 1 Pet 3:15, Jude 1:22-24

  4. Spiritual Growth - It is the responsibility of every believer to seek God, grow in faith, and encourage others to grow up into maturity.
    2 Pet 3:18, Heb 6:1, Col 1:9-10, 1 Cor 13:10-12
  5. Spiritual Empowerment – Every believer needs and should seek the power of the Spirit to be manifested in their lives for God’s glory.
    1 Cor 14:1, Acts 1:8; 4:31
